Statement Of Faith
We believe in the inspiration of the Scriptures – the Old Testament Hebrew and the New Testament Greek. We believe these manuscripts were expressly authored by God and communicated by His Holy Spirit to prophets who penned every word. Therefore, we believe the Bible is the Word of God and is sufficient for doctrine, instruction, correction and is the only standard of truth in this world.
We believe that there is only one God. He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, and Omniscient. He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. His name is Yahweh, the Father of which Jesus spoke as being the only true God.
We believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, who was miraculously conceived in the womb of the virgin Mary and born in the town of Bethlehem. He is the Messiah who was prophesied in the Old Testament and revealed in His ministry. It pleased the Father to grant Him all authority to teach, heal, raise the dead, to forgive sins and act on behalf of God, whom He represented.
We believe the Holy Spirit is the personal, operational presence and power of God that is given to all believers through Jesus Christ.
We believe in the atoning, substitutionary death of Jesus Christ: that He died for our sins, was buried in a tomb, and resurrected by God on the third day. He ascended to heaven, where at this present time, sits at the right hand of the Father, having been given all power and authority, in heaven and on earth.
We believe in the apostolic plan of salvation as commissioned by Jesus Christ: to preach the gospel of the kingdom of God to all people. In sincere repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ, a sinner is freely forgiven, justified, saved and reconciled back to God, all of this accomplished by the grace of God and not of human effort or works.
We believe in living a life of holiness, beginning inwardly and revealing itself outwardly, all a result of the grace of God in us, the work of sanctification. Christians are called to abandon the old lifestyle of sin and embrace the new lifestyle of righteousness in Christ, thereby demonstrating ‘an elect and called out’ people of God.
We believe in the practice of genuine Christianity: a love for God, a love for people, a yearning to pray, obedience to the word of God, heartfelt worship and expressive praise, a sharing of our faith, commitment to our marriages and families, availability to help others in time of need and dedication of our time, talent and treasure for the advancement of the kingdom of God on the earth.
We believe in the local and universal church, established as a unique and special fellowship for all believers. It is the spiritual community ordained for worship, stewardship, and service to God and people, of which every believer must become a part of, for it is the body of Christ in the world today, displaying the same miraculous power and spiritual gifts as experienced by the first church.
We believe in the return of Jesus Christ, who will descend from heaven with the sound of a trumpet and will come on the clouds with power and glory, being witnessed by all the nations of the earth. At that time, all who have died in Christ shall be raised from the dead with those who remain alive in Christ – then they shall all be caught up to meet Him in the air to be with Him forever. At His return, He will conquer His enemies and establish His government for a thousand years.
We believe in the final judgment of all people, when the wicked shall receive eternal destruction and the righteous shall receive eternal life.
